A new purpose for The Color Run

Adopt-a-School Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Capitec Bank, the headline sponsor of The Color Run in South Africa. The race takes part in ten towns in seven provinces across South Africa and Capitec is donating R10 from every race ticket sold to resources for one of our adopted schools in these areas.

On 12 July, the first KZN Color Run took place. Over R40 000 was raised from the 4 000 participants and this has been used to purchase library books and stationary for Ndukwenhle High School in the Umlazi Township.

The second event took place in Polokwane on 15 August and proceeds will go towards sporting equipment, library books and stationary for Phagamang Secondary School in Ga-Moleele village.

Capitec Bank spokesman Charl Nel says “We’re so happy about the opportunity to partner with a great organisation such as Adopt-a-School to help shine a light on their amazing work and to make a lasting impact on schools across South Africa. “We share the need to give back to the community with the organisers of The Color Run and they are really happy to see that we’ve partnered with a great organisation such as Adopt-a-School to make this happen.”
