COVID-19 Relief Campaign

COVID-19 has impacted communities across the world, posing new social and economic difficulties while intensifying existing ones.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on South Africa’s public education system has been severe and long-lasting. Our schools’ needs are growing, with a renewed emphasis on reducing overcrowding through the construction of classrooms, improving access to sanitation and ablution facilities. More learners require ongoing psychosocial support and classroom digitalisation solutions to help with both rotational learning schedules and enable learners to participate in online learning.

To address the gaps caused by COVID-19 in schools, Adopt-a-School Foundation has developed a three-month COVID-19 relief campaign. The campaign aims to rally support from corporates to help our schools in need with Sanitation, digitalisation of classrooms, infrastructure and food security.

How to Get involved:

To achieve this massive task, significant funding is to be raised and we are calling upon our corporate partners to contribute funds towards COVID-19 relief projects.

Larger pledges will enable us to do more and ensure that we accomplish specific projects from stated COVID-19 projects. The first COVID-19 relief project has been launched on Mandela Day at Qhobosheane Primary School in Soweto.

Although we have received pledges towards Qhobosheane Primary School, we are encouraging more collaboration efforts to implement more projects at the school and thus we look forward to hearing from you.
