COVID-19 has impacted communities across the world, posing new social and economic difficulties while intensifying existing ones.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on South Africa’s public education system has been severe and long-lasting. Our schools’ needs are growing, with a renewed emphasis on reducing overcrowding through the construction of classrooms, improving access to sanitation and ablution facilities. More learners require ongoing psychosocial support and classroom digitalisation solutions to help with both rotational learning schedules and enable learners to participate in online learning.
To address the gaps caused by COVID-19 in schools, Adopt-a-School Foundation has developed a three-month COVID-19 relief campaign. The campaign aims to rally support from corporates to help our schools in need with Sanitation, digitalisation of classrooms, infrastructure and food security.
