While the majority of the staff members from the Curriculum and Leadership team spent 67 minutes at Mveledzandivho Primary School, a different group made their way to Lot Phalatse Primary School, located in the North West province, to volunteer their time and effort.

At the school, the team and the learners actively participated in diverse literacy activities tailored to the specific needs of learners from grades R to 7. Additionally, the team donated 860 stationery packs, which were funded by Sasria. Crafting packs containing scissors, colouring pencils, glue, highlighters, erasers, and sharpeners were provided to 16 class teachers. Furthermore, each classroom received ten board game packs, which included a printed board, a sheet with slides and ladders, dice, and six play pieces per board.

The school, in partnership with the Foundation, had planned a comprehensive programme for the day which involved the learners being engaged in a creative session that enhanced their problem-solving and critical-thinking .

During this session, the learners were challenged to plan and design their own slides and ladders game boards. Following the design phase, they enthusiastically played the games to assess their functionality.
