- The Foundation is committed to empowering the local community by creating temporary jobs and using local service providers and small business
- All infrastructure plans are approved by the DBE and local municipality
- The infrastructure team adhere to strict safety policies and all stakeholders involved are insured
- All teacher training is conducted outside of schooling hours
- The Foundation does not pay salaries, purchase administration furniture or change curriculum programmes
Schools applying for adoption must show:
- Demonstrable evidence of the acute needs of the school
- Evidence that the SGB is functioning effectively
- Readiness for change
- The willingness of parents to contribute to the success of the school
- Commitment to maintaining new structures built by the Foundation
- Determination by the SMT, educators and learners to actively participate in the adoption process and commitment to improving results
