About

Our footprint.

Adopt-a-School's work reaches across South Africa's nine provinces, with footprint extending into Lesotho and Mozambique. Counts per the 2024/25 Annual Report: 696 schools adopted since 2002 across the Foundation and the Kagiso Shanduka Trust (KST) — 691 in the nine provinces, 4 in Lesotho and 1 in Mozambique. This is a cumulative total since 2002, so it counts more schools than the 337 currently being worked with in the 2025/26 register, and the two are counted on a different basis province by province.
