The Foundation held its 12th Back to School Party on the 20 October 2018. The Back to School Party is our largest annual fundraising initiative and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our achievements of the past year. All of our achievements and successes are a result of a collaborative effort and a unified belief in education as a critical driver of social and economic change.
Over a 1000 people attended. The theme for the night was literacy and storytelling – centered on promoting the culture of reading in our schools and the broader community of South Africa. The night included Donavan Goliath as the Master of Ceremony, junior learner MC’s from Tshilidzi Primary School. Our junior MCs performed exceptionally sharing their experiences of the impact of Whole School Development on their schools as well as of how the Adopt-a-School Foundation was established.
