On 13th November 2024, the Adopt-a-School Foundation proudly visited two outstanding schools in Diepsloot, Gauteng, to celebrate their remarkable achievements in education.

Diepsloot Combined School was honoured with the prestigious Most Sustainable School Award, recognising its unwavering commitment to excellence and its ability to sustain high standards long after the completion of Whole School Development initiatives.

Diepsloot Secondary School, on the other hand, received the Excellence Award for Best-Performing School, acknowledging its extraordinary academic success. The school achieved an impressive 100% pass rate for the Matric class of 2022, a testament to the dedication and hard work of both educators and learners.

These milestones were made possible, in part, through the generous support of Huawei, which provided the schools with laptops and smartphones. These devices are set to play a pivotal role in enhancing digital learning, equipping learners and educators to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven educational landscape.

The day was a celebration of the hard work, resilience, and passion of the learners and educators in Diepsloot, exemplifying the transformative power of education. It also underscored the importance of collaboration in building a brighter future for all.
