Clear Vision, Brighter Futures at Boitekong II Secondary

On 20 September 2025, joy and excitement filled Boitekong II Secondary School as learners received much-needed spectacles through Adopt-a-School Foundation’s partnership with Merafe Resources Ltd.

Following eye screenings by optometrist Premier Optical, 369 Grade 8 learners were assessed, 67 received new spectacles, and seven were referred for further care. The initiative formed part of Eye Care Awareness Month, which promotes the importance of regular eye check-ups and healthy vision.

Seeing learners smile as they tried on their glasses for the first time highlighted the profound impact of such interventions. With clearer sight, they can now participate fully in class, embrace their lessons with confidence, and imagine a future full of possibilities.
