Four adopted high schools namely, Eketsang High School, Glen Cowie Secondary School, Siwali High School and Mariazell High School have engaged in a programme that encourages learners to improve their use of English. In this programme, learners write, design, edit and use all creative elements available to produce a quarterly gazette. The service provider, Mine in Education, also facilitates a ‘drop everything and read period’ where an hour is allocated for the sole purpose of reading.
