On 29 September, the Foundation, alongside Sasria handed over an ablution facility and a four-classroom block at the Lot Phalatse Primary School at Hebron Village in Pretoria. Improving infrastructure in marginalised schools, an AASF priority, was made possible by partnering with the South African Special Risk Insurance Association, Sasria. The non-life insurer that provides special risk cover to individuals and businesses that own assets in South Africa, Sasria first partnered with AASF in 2013.
Sasria adopted Lot Phalatse in 2021. Since then, the primary school with 850 learners has been assisted on several projects, including supporting a health, sanitation, and sexuality education project, infrastructure upgrades, and help with technology.
