The school is located in the heart of Diepsloot informal settlement and has become a refuge from parental abuse, a place to get a daily nutritious meal and, above all, a centre for learning for the most under-privileged township youth. The school caters for learners from Grade R to 12.
The mission of the school is to mould learners into diligent, responsible, tolerant, knowledgeable and accountable individuals who can confidently participate in the global society.

Diepsloot Combined School has become an icon of hope for the disadvantaged community of Diepsloot. Last year the school achieved a matric pass rate of 92%. To date, the following interventions have been made:
- 23 classrooms have been built
- 1 ablution block has been built
- Donation of scientific calculators
- Donation of library books
- Donation of school track- suits for grade 1 learners
- Teaching and learning support material and training for foundation phase educators
- Mathematics and mathematical literacy development for educators and learners
- Leadership and governance training • Life skills programme
Through the support of various donors a sustainable and meaningful difference has been made. There is still much to do to continue to improve the lives of these young learners and their learning environment.
