The following terms and conditions apply to all donations made on the Adopt-a-School Foundation website.

Adopt-a-School Foundation is a business in the non-profit industry that works in the education sector.

Our Contract

If you make an online donation with Adopt-a-School Foundation, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your donation and the details of your donation. Your donation represents and offer to us to which is accepted by us when we deliver a Final Receipt. If you request a tax certificate for your donation, we will send you a receipt within 30 days.

Cancellation and Refunds policy

We offer a 90-day refund policy which begins from the date you make your donation. If you contact us outside of the 90-day period we may or may not refund the donation. If you request a refund we will refund the full value of your donation. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase. Customer privacy policy

Adopt-a-School Foundation shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). When submitting your donation you are agreeing to allow Adopt-a-School Foundation to use your personal data for the purpose of processing your donation. Your information will not be used for any marketing-related purposes, unless indicated by you.

Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the Adopt-a-School Foundation bank account, the details of which will be provided on request. For banking details please contact info@school.co.za

Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Adopt-a-School Foundation via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Adopt-a-School Foundation separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Responsibility

Adopt-a-School Foundation takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa.

Variation

Adopt-a-School Foundation may, in its sole discretion, make changes to our website, policies and this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
