In order to effectively address Whole School Development in schools, the Adopt-a-School Foundation prioritises the health and well-being of school children. A pilot study in the Bodibe community in the North West, revealed that over 50% of children who couldn’t read or write, suffered from site impairments. This study has resulted in the launch of a campaign to get eye testings clinics and spectacles to our schools.
Giving a pupil a new lease on life through the gift of sight is priceless, and the pride in watching a school’s pass rate dramatically improve makes every cent of this investment worthwhile.
