Adopt-a-School held its first ever international fundraiser in London on 3 October. The event was held at the Marriott, Grosvenor Square and attended by 280 guests from top UK and multinational companies. Merrill Lynch South Africa sponsored this exciting event and we were privileged to have had the opportunity to share our work with an international audience. The event raised in excess of R 5 million for disadvantaged schools in South Africa. This significant contribution will have a lasting impact on the sustainability of the Foundation and will allow it to touch the lives of many more learners, ensuring that they receive quality education and the opportunities that arise from such schooling.
