Welcome to our second newsletter for the year. It has been a busy quarter and we are excited to share with you the great strides taken particularly as we head towards the end of our financial year. We welcome new donors to some exciting new projects. As we enter into the third quarter of 2019, plans are underway for our next Mandela Day Collective initiative, which will be something new and more impactful. Ensure to read all about it further in the newsletter and hear the call be the change. Our 13th Back to School Party will be taking place in 5 months, on 5 October 2019 at Wanderers Rugby Grounds. We encourage you to book your tables early this year. The invites have been issued, ensure you have received it and booked your table.

Since inception, we have reached the million beneficiary mark and getting closer to the billion rand mark in the total amount invested in our schools. This is a great milestone; we would like to thank our supporters and donors for affording our beneficiaries this wonderful achievement. We are also excited that this year marks CRF 15th year anniversary. Adopt-a-School Foundation (AAS) is proud to have been the project initiator of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation and are proud of the attributions we have made towards CRF purpose of fostering an inclusive, empowered society.

This quarter we commemorated child protection in Botshabelo through the Thari programme, hosted a Health, Sanitation and Sexual Awareness Programme project launch at Boitekong Secondary School with Merafe Resources, Launched ASIDI in Kwazulu-Natal with our Chairperson and implemented the School Leadership advancement programme at Merete Secondary school with Merafe resources.

2019 is proving to be another busy and fruitful year. We are grateful for the support of the many organisations and individuals who support the work of the Foundation. There is a lot of hard work ahead of us and I trust that you will continue to play an active role in improving the quality of education in our country. I encourage you to visit the schools on our waiting list who require your assistance. Click here to see the schools profiles.
