Adopted Schools fly high during the National Geography Olympiad

In September, the Foundation partnered with the South African National Geography Olympiad and encouraged 20 schools to enter the Olympiad competition. Since 2017, for the first time this year, they piloted a No Fee Schools’ online competition. Two of our schools came 2nd and 3rd place under the Quintile One category. A learner from Kgabareng Secondary School in the Free State and Tshivhase Secondary School in Limpopo achieved the top SANGO provincial position. We are immensely proud of our learners and our schools for their wonderful achievements. Our schools and learners competed alongside some of South Africa’s top Independent and Public Schools, and this success is testament to what can be achieved by an investment in Whole School Development.

Winners of this competition secured a spot to compete in the International Geography Olympiads held in Paris.
