Back to School Party raises nearly R3.5 million for schools

On 12th September, our Chairperson, Cyril Ramaphosa welcomed over 800 guests, all dressed in their school uniforms to our ninth annual Back to School party held at Sandown High School in Sandton. This was the first time, Adopt-a-School Foundation, hosted its infamous party on school grounds – and it was a wonderful opportunity to support a local school.

We enjoyed entertainment from the Field Band Foundation, the hilarious Donavan Goliath and the sensational XTremes. We also enjoyed a brief, yet insightful panel discussion on partnerships in education with Cyril Ramaphosa, Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga and MEC for Education in the Free State, Tate Makgoe.

Cyril Ramaphosa also shared some of the achievements of Adopt-a-School Foundation over the past year and encouraged our guests to continue to contribute to our vision of improving education in our country. “By working together with NGO’s, Government and private companies and individuals, we can achieve so much more!”

Next year we celebrate our 10th Back to School Party. It promises to be an unforgettable celebration and we urge you to secure your table early. View the 9th Back to School Party Gallery here
