On 10 May, Adopt-a-School Foundation hosted its Health, Sanitation and Sexual Awareness programme at Boitekong Secondary School near Rustenburg. The programme is part of Social Welfare projects implemented to improve the health and wellness of learners. The programme creates a link between social welfare and learning as well as awareness of body changes that occur during the stages of puberty and adolescence. The programme was introduced to over 2000 learners and will run until November 2019. Community key stakeholders attended the event and actor “Dragon” Julius Kgole of television soapie Skeem Saam was the guest speaker.
