On the 21st of September, the Foundation hosted a coding and robotics workshop funded by Adapt IT.

The coding component of the programme focuses on software, while robotics programmes cover both hardware and software. Coding is written instructions that a robot or computer program can read and execute. This is while the robotics component allows students to see their thinking realistically as they go through trial and error until the task is accomplished. The robot’s motions are performed as instructed.

The workshop aimed to train learners to assemble and utilise the coding and robotics kits. The Foundation left the educators well-equipped on how best to use the kits. The workshop benefitted [595] Grade 8 and 9 learners of Hlahlindela High School. They have now mastered assembling and creating characters in groups. Seven teachers are actively involved in the programme.
