Adopt-a-School Foundation joined Barberton Mines and senior officials from the Mpumalanga Department of Education for the launch of Whole School Development projects at EmjindinI Secondary School in Barberton, on 15 June 2018. The final phase of projects completed at the school includes an assembly area and extensions to the administration facility at Emjindini Secondary School. The launch showcased all five phases of Whole School Development that had been completed at the school, in partnership with the Foundation. The projects completed at the school included strategic planning, leadership and curriculum development in a variety of key curriculum subjects, the construction of a science laboratory (including training and resources), eight classrooms, an ablution facility, a dining and nutrition centre, as well as a multimedia centre including a fully functioning and resourced computer centre and library.
